Wouldn’t You Think That A Resort Who Endorses The Following Would Realize That They Would Lose Business?

Ski resort’s ‘Impeach Bush’ vote backfires
‘Hundreds’ cancel trips, homeowner threatens to move out

Some of the ski fans who have patronized Telluride, Colo., now are calling the ritzy resort “the land of radical liberals” and canceling planned vacations there because the town board voted to approve an ordinance calling for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
One ski club of 175 people already has made plans to go elsewhere, another skier has threatened to sell his home there and another critic predicted the town soon would bow to Mecca.
“It’s huge, unbelievable,” said Telluride Mayor John Pryor. “Ski groups are canceling for the winter. Hundreds of people are bailing. The (town) website is flooded with people saying they’re canceling their vacations here.”
The storm of protest followed the town board’s recent vote on the impeachment issue, according to the Denver Post. The report said among the labels being pinned on the town include: Moonbats, lunatics, boobs, bong smokers and left-bots.

I read this article and honestly had to chuckle. Did these people actually think that they wouldn’t be bomboarded with public outcry and as a result, end up losing a lot of business? What are your opinions?

Perfect example of “voting with your wallet”. If only everyone were as politically engaged…

There will be plenty of people who will fill those “empty” slots. It’s still August, plenty of time before ski season. If someone wants to move out, I’ll buy their house. It’s no big deal.

Let them go else where… others will show up to take their rooms.

I’m sure it’s not the end of the world

I think they should start advertising on liberal websites. They can turn this around and maybe substantially boost business.

Man you always have the best stuff!

Here this is from the Denver Post. Or is the Denver Post a Right wing rag?

Good luck to them. Can you imagine how ugly, gloomy and full of bitterness the place is going to be if only liberals visit there.

Well, quoting for a partisan rag like WingNutDaily doesn’t help your argument much.

Once the word gets out, whatever business the resort may have lost will surely be made up by liberal clientele.

And, no, contrary to what that idiotic rightwing imbecile claims, the town will not be bowing to Mecca.

Can you say… you reap what you sew? I hope the town has a horrible season after that. And the lib answers are just funny… “someone else will fill their spots”… who? Telluride is expensive. Aren’t all libs poor little people that are pickedon by “the man”? Also, they would be having a fit if it were the other way around. They will never see anything wrong in what their kookie party does. I say, let them emplode. And if they need an example, look at Hollywood.. that industry was getting killed with all their moronic actors statements… they’ve since laid way off the political juice…

Well, thanks for posting that; I had forgotten about that vote. I’ll shift my look somewhere other than Telluride this year.
